I don't see a reason not to. If you're considering it, it wouldn't hurt to get it.
Yeah I was just looking up the dangers of getting motorcycles and whatnot, HOWEVER the accidents that do occur are either people trying to lane cut or do stunts or speed horrifically fast. There are legit accidents that occur but they occur in cars also,HOWEVER motorcycles are more dangerous i will agree. I don't know yet if it is worth it.
It would hurt if i was in an accident tho xD
Anyways I am still thinking cause... idk

Do you have a car license yet?
Literally everybody I know who had a motorcycle/heard that they have a motorcycle had an accident that almost took their life and left serious injuries, some other cases are when they ran over someone. Shit is very very dangerous..
Cons
Die easier
Made my day !
You fail to see that I don't want a motorcycle to go fast as fuck (and to die) i just want to get in and out of traffic fast and get from point a to b. I also want the bike to look cool as fuck.
Since I am a beginner I will probably get

I drive a bike and a car, I only use the bike in spring summer and parts of early fall before it gets too cold. It's more about your own satisfaction and feeling free which I love.
I've been riding and driving now for over a year (just turned 19) and i think its definitely worth it if you feel like its what you want to do, but if you at all do not feel right on the road don't be on it. You want to practice in industrial areas before hitting the city's and just predict that every car is blind so just be always prepared to swerve stop or get out of the way, at traffic lights you want to be in the lane but in a position that you can quickly move out of the way from a car coming up behind you. Once you get over everyone trying to kill you we get to the fun part, riding with mates and hitting up the hills is just so good and a great way to clear the mind.
For a first bike i recommend something around 400-600cc with a comfortable riding position, i still have my first bike that's a gs500e and have a couple friends that got 250's and hated them after two weeks.
Just most important is to not be cheap with your riding gear! also loud pipes save lives.
P.S - Stay upright.
