Section Rules [Updated: September 12th][Large Changes]
This section is for server releases ONLY.
All other content such as applications, previews, etc. goes in private server discussion.
All posts in this section that are not releases will be moved and you may possibly receive an infraction.
Posting Your Server:
You are required to provide proper credits to anyone who had anything to do with the making of the server. (Source, dungeons, etc)
You are required to provide 2 or more screenshots of your server.
You are required to provide at least 2 virus scans for each file you upload.
Provide a description and the basic features of your server (E.G. Are there special ranks, what dungeons work, are there shops, etc).
If the server is not self-hosted and requires a 3rd party program such as Hamachi, be sure to provide network names and passwords for users.
Any servers using Hamachi that and are not being properly maintained will be locked/removed.
Any server that is not keeping up to date and staying properly playable will be locked/removed.
If you are a server owner and we see you are extremely inactive, your thread will be locked/removed.
A standard server requires AT LEAST a moderately positive uptime to downtime ratio. How "moderately" is interpreted is up to the standing moderator(s) discretion.
This means that your server needs to be online at the very least as much as it is offline (example: 12 hours up, 12 hours down, daily).
If you are attempting to test your server, or are unable to meet these requirements, please send me a PM or specifically say in your thread "I am unable to meet the private server regulations, please tag my server as such." Depending on the situation, your server may be placed under "Test" rules instead of the standard ones.
You may also set your thread with the prefix "[Preview]" instead of "[Release]", and we will automatically set you as a "Test" server.
"Test" servers are allowed to completely avoid the standard uptime requirements for at maximum 1 month, as long as the owners/administration of the server keep players updated on the downtime.
"TEST" IS NOT A USER SELECTED THING.
Any user can put test or testing in their name, but only the officially recognized "Test" servers will be allowed to follow the listed changes above.
Your thread will not be instantly locked if it is down for a day or two. The discrepancy will be investigated before any action is taken.
If you require extended downtime for any reason, feel free to PM the current RotMG moderation. After they review your reasoning, you may have the "Test" reinstated. Reasons you can have said mark reinstated is a serious server/database issue, major real life issues that completely prevent you from maintaining the server in any way such as an accident, or otherwise.
Failure to follow these rules may result in your thread being locked and you receiving an infraction.

No posting of malicious, illegal, or dangerous content.
No posting outside links of any sort besides virus scans, the official RotMG site, Youtube videos, pictures to tinypic or imgur, and these forums.
No posting Dis-cord links
No spamming a thread with "approve pls" or "@ Whoever, pls approve". These posts are counted as spam and can be given an infraction.
This section is for Private Server releases ONLY. Any other threads may either be moved or deleted, and you may possibly be infracted.
Failure to follow these rules may result in an infraction and, in serious cases, possibly a ban.

Is there a possibility for you to PM the OP that makes the thread if they do not comply with the requirements as it gets annoying to look at threads and have people give them thanks and they get to keep the thanks when it is moved to the archived threads place

Raple is it compulsory for a hamachi server that is on testing to be up for the requirement of 12 hours+ as it is testing so I think it should be like 1 hour as Kabam had their testing server open for like an hour only and then it went off -.-

Failure to keep up with the [Beta] requirements will get your thread locked, no exceptions.
I will not instantly lock your thread if your server is simply down for a day or two, I will first investigate the discrepancy myself.

What do you think we should do about the servers with less-experienced owners that are usually open for fun/a short time? Those still occur pretty often.

If you are still too lazy to at least write what you change, your server doesn't deserve to be on MPGH anyway.
If anything, it's easier on servers. I don't instantly delete lazy/time-restricted persons threads anymore because they decide to only host once a week. This will help people get a jump start.

If they already notified the players, but not MPGH, then the rules still apply.
It doesn't take much effort to post on the thread that the server will be down.
