Timed out waiting for initialing xtrap-engine
So i used to play cf a long time ago and i wanted to start back again , so i downloaded the client and started the installation. Everything fine till this point but after i press start when the xtrap loading is done i get the error " timed out waiting for initialing xtrap-engine"

Also in the task manager my cf process keeps opened for like a minute and the disappear. I tried tons of things like adding cf in the antivirus and firewall exceptions , deleting the game and then installing it again , cleaning the register with ccleaner , running it as administrator . I even tried to google the error but none of the solutions found seemed to help me . I'm getting mad..

If you don't know what's a VPN, please tell me what is the name of your VPN and I will help you to disable/uninstall it.

If the VPN is running right now, do this :

  1. Close any software, program, or window to make it easier to find the running processes including the VPN
  2. Press CTRL + ALT + Delete
  3. Choose Task Manager
  4. You will be able to see a list of processes running on your PC, make sure there's no VPN program running... if there are some VPN programs running, kill their processes (You can press 'more details' to see the running processes in a detailed list)

Or simply, go to control panel >> Uninstall a program >> Check the programs list and if you've seen any weird program that you don't know what it is, google its name or ask me about it and I will help you to find out if it's a VPN or not... After that you will uninstall the VPN, restart your PC and then check if crossfire works now.

You need this file then to resolve the problem... I will see if I can update my CF to get the newest file.
