Dave's Hack help

Okay I have Windows Vista. I was looking at Dave's new hack for vista users and I was wondering. These are my questions;
1. What is Vista Service Pack 2?
2. What is DirectX?
3. Does this require any money for these two things?

No money required. Chances are your DirectX version is already up to date. Service Pack 2 contains all previous updates and some fixes for windows vista.

Don't bother downloading them. It won't make the hack work.

Ummm how do i get the hacks to work then? Some vista users say it didnt work and know they are getting to work by doing something?What do I do?

Coming from a Vista 32-bit user they do work. SP2 is good to have anyway. Once I downloaded SP2 and disabled my UAC the hack worked. I did nothing else special. There are some tips I have though regarding the settings file but that's another story.

Okay, let me get this straight, if i get SP2 and disable UAC then the hack works?

I'll get you the exact link you need. Pull up your System Information. I need to know what Version you have Vista 32-bit or Vista 64-bit and I also need to know whether it's x86,x64,x32 etc. Should all be available on the system information page.

I have Windows Vista Home Premium
SP1 32 bit
EDIT: what is the x86,x64,x32 thing? i cant find it

Ok good. But pull up System Information and about 1/3 of the way down the page you'll see system based on like x86 based system, x64 based system, x32 based system, etc. Pull that up for me.
