I recently obtained 600. And I'm getting a paycheck today.
Looking at a price around $900 including a monitor and atleast 4GB of ram.

what would you prefer, intel or amd.
this would make things ALOT easier.
on top of that, the quality of the motherboard as well, are you willing to spend $200 for a motherboard?

Asus EN9800GT 1gb
Nice case
650 watt power supply
BenQ 24'" (Make sure it has HDMI)
Mabye a G15 Keyboard?
Either, 7 or XP (Dont go for Vista)

You should increase the amount of watt supplies and get better cooling, then overclock everything as high as possible.
