Next big app creation (Educational Help needed/Partners)
What up; I'm looking to learn what I need to know for making an app for both apple and, android. How should I go about on making an app that will be just as successful as instagram or, maybe even twitter an snapchat. But instead of it being in the social category I want it to be in the gaming category because I'm a gamer an also and, I'd love to create something that I feel like every gamer needs and, should already be made but isn't so, I'm gonna go for it and, hopefully it actually goes somewhere. I've done some research on the app I want to make; An the type of research I've done is just looking to see if anyone has made an app like it and, so far no one has! Anyways I'm wanting to also make a website for it since it will be for the gaming community also if you don't have any access to a phone you can go hop on a computer like you can for instagram and, twitter. I'd explain what's the app is about but I don't want anyone stealing my idea :P haha but If someone can explain to me what I need to know for going into app creating and, web design an information I need; and, how to write the apps an how much time it should take with someone like me who has zero information in coding/design/etc. And, no sources I guess you could also say an if you're wondering why am I posting this here; It's because MPGH I feel like has a'lot of hidden talent and, a'lot of people willing to help out others or, find someone too; basically I'm sure there is someone that is willing to help and, that's all I need for this project to begin and, would greatly appreciate it! an honestly maybe someone from MPGH will change my life because of their knowledge and, there generosity! If you must know why I'm wanting to make an app and, wondering what you mean by "Just as successful as instagram, twitter, snapchat" is because I've had a passion for games and, I feel as if I can create something that will revolutionize the gaming community and, I may not know what twitter, instagram or, even snapchat did to become known as in did they(advertise, blogs, resources, pay testers, betas or, whatever else you can do to get you're product/creation/project out into the public.) Also I'm not sure how long they took to design the app or, even how much it all cost for an app to be made(Developers/Copyrights/Storage/Security/Ad's/Marketing/Uptime/Designers/etc. Also what it takes to run a website or, even what it cost; whatever it takes I'm ready to set my mind and, all my time too create this app and, learn whatever I need an too turn my dream into reality. Sorry for making this corny or, maybe to far fetched since I have no knowledge too (coding/designing/etc.) anything to do with this project(I have the app idea and, the layout all thought out but not written or, not (patent/prototype) or, if you think im trolling or, whatever please understand; that this topic is for those who know more about the hard part and, educational purposes other than the app itself. An also word of mouth is the best way for people to discover the underdogs but; whoever is willing to lead me or, teach/explain anything; I'd be 100% grateful and, I'm sure this app idea(the one I've yet too tell anyone sorry but its 'Top Secret :P) is the next big thing for the gaming community and, if you're willing to help and, we go forth and, turn this into something real I'm up for discussion. If you're wondering my education level because maybe my grammar probably has not been the nicest too some of you ;p but I'm 17 in 11th grade and, has no type of skill in the(coding/photoshop/design/marketing/somewhat poo poo grammar). BUT I'M UP TOO LEARNING ALL OF THIS but no matter how hard the challenge/obstacle I'm ready too become the next Mark Zuckerberg(Seriously) in the gaming category an for others too have my creation with them. .. <All started from MPGH>

Feel free to add me on Skype to discuss.
read the first ~6 lines. To make a android app, You need to know java, to make an IOS app, you need to know objective-c, for a website, PHP/node.js or another back-end web language, For the front-end you need to know HTML, CSS, And JS. For one person to do that, Will take you a 'little' time. Judging from what you wrote, You don't have any past experience in programming? Not trying to be a kill joy, But people don't just invest time for free towards someone without resources. When I say resources, I mean people willing to invest money to your program.

After you make all this, What is your business model going to be?

If i may ask; How old are you and, how smart? You have very nice grammar and, I guess good information. I'd research it but I'd like you to explain to me what a business model is if that makes since.

Baby steps.

If you're actually interested in developing the app yourself, depending on the complexity it will take you some time. If you just want the app to be made under your organization, then you can pay people to create it under you. But I'm assuming you're interested in the development process.

For iOS, I would recommend Swift instead of Objective-C now. Something to cut your learning time would be using Xamarin, where you can use C# and launch your app on both Andriod and iOS.

You should start with your learning process first before worrying about organizational things that may or may not come up. No matter what though, there will be a minimum cost of $25 one time for a Google Developer Licence and $99 annually for your Apple Developer Licence.

Most Important:

Also, in my opinion you shouldn't set out to wanting to become the next great or famous thing like you stated. Your desire should be in creating or managing something you are passionate about and want to succeed in. If you really have that going for you, then other things will come naturally.

Good luck.

Thank you for all the advice flengo <3! But you mentioned programs that I have no clue what they are for and, Like I mentioned earlier; I haven't not learned to code at all so, I wouldn't know were to start with those apps. What would you recommend me doing for me to learn to Swift and, Xamarin? Which would you recommend and, this app idea would be free but how would I go about making money for it?

I would recommend you pick one. Either Java (Android), Swift (iOS), or C# and use Xamarin Studio which is an IDE and it'll allow you to develop for both Android and iOS by using C#.

If you don't know what anything I mentioned in this post is, just Google it. You'll get all your answers.

So, since C# and use Xamarin Studio which is an IDE and it'll allow you to develop for both Android and iOS by using C#.
(will be allowing me to release for both -Ios and, Android-. I'd like to go with Xamarin studio but I don't know anything about C# and, what would be the use for coding? Since it's a gaming app(Ima hint out a little on what its about) I'd have to add what games people play and, many more features but not trying to spoil the secrets on what will make my app amazing and, everyone wanting it. So, with no skill at all in the coding field and, I'm 17; what should I do? and, I have enough free time to be able to start learning some coding that will help me all the way until summer break which is June 13' and, im going to be gone all summer(I think either end of August or, beginning of September) So, until then I won't be able to learn. So, were would you recommend me starting and, what else would i need to know? graphic design for the layout design for each section and, logo and, all that? Or, would I want to pay someone to be the creative artist part of the group? Thanks again.
If you wanna discuss, I own a coding company in India, and have a group of coders that can get everything you want done for VERY cheap, and VERY high quality. We manage over 100+ projects a month, pm me if interested. We specialize in website and application building (all OSes).

Start learning C# lol. There are a ton of places online where you can learn. There are videos and everything. You should know you probably have a long time ahead of you before getting to your goal. I can't make all these decisions for you either. Decide on what is best and what is most efficient for you.
