Upgrading PC
Hello! So currently, I'm in the need to upgrade my CPU, motherboard, and ram. What do y'all recommend? I have a budget of $400 for CPU, motherboard, and ram. Trying to stick to AMD due to they're way cheaper (Doesn't mean y'all can't send me your intel ideas!). Thanks y'all!
if you want amd then id take the ryzen r5 1600, the asus strix b350f gaming mobo and 16gb of corsair vengeance 3000mhz ram
If you're ok with less ram but alot more processing power, then I would get an i5 7600k, Gigabyte - GA-Z270P-D3, and a stick of crucial 8gb ram. You can buy another stick for ~$60. If you need a cpu cooler, hyper 212 evo. Since you're upgrading, I assume you have one already. Here is list with the lowest prices for those parts. the page is pc part picker /list/xMMvxY
Do you have a graphics card?

He said he's only upgrading his processor ram and Mobo, so I would assume so.

Well i was asking because i wanted to know which one, so it wouldnt bottleneck it, etc and to make sure the motherboard is good with it.
You'll need max 12GB ram, for processor i can recommend you i5 7400
I've heard a lot of good things about it! I'm probably gonna go with it. Thank you!
Yeah the Ryzen 1600 is a great processor for your price point.
