Will my computer mine crypto?

So currently im getting into mining crypto, im using my geforceGTX 1080 to mine but it also has an option to use my AMD Ryzen 5 1600 CPU, if i use both will my computer crash or will it mine?

You can mine coins (pick coins that don't allow ASIC miners) and it'll be profitable

It depends on the coin. Every coin is different. It might not be profitable for some coins to use CPU to mine it

I fairly certain GPU mining bitcoin is not profitable. I saw someone on MPGH say that the latest nvidia GPU is a bit profitable. I don't know tho. Try looking into mining coins like Ethereum.

Mining Bitcoin with GPU is not profitable and is not worth it. On the other hand, you can effectively mine altcoins like Ethereum and make few money. I would suggest undervolting your card as GTX 1080 is using too much electricity and if you want, you can overclock it for few mh/more.

If its not profitable because of electricity electricity isnt a problem

You can use both CPU and GPU to mine at the same time without your pc crashing lol.

Since you're really new to mining crypto i recommend using NiceHash... its incredibly beginner friendly and it only takes like 3 steps to start making money

No it wont ruin your computer, 90c imo is fine. not sure if there are long term damages but from my experience i havent had any loss in performance

i’m mining using claymore ethereum dual miner with a gtx 1080 and only getting to like 54C without any overlock or undervolting and i’m barely making anything, getting 25-30MH

Yeah they lost about 4000 bitcoin. but since then their security has increased (not exactly sure if its unhackable) but there are definitely alot more changes to the site and how you log in, and transact.

They've also switched to "non-profit" mode meaning they will not make any money from users mining UNTIL all users are repaid the debt that nicehash owes.

would not recommend that. dont mine ETH, LTC or BTC. If you want to mine, which is very hardly profitable cause of the electricity fee's are altcoins or how i say shitcoins. Electroneum etc.
