Pixel 2 XL Swappa problem

So basically sold Pixel 2 XL to this guy 7 months ago, now he filed a dispute on paypal saying that the item had a problem and had it repaired via Google and he was informed that the item was refurbished with no warranty valid. And he wants his money back.

How should i proceed with this? Can i win this claim?

So what is the problem ? Not your fault, Google fault

problem is he's trying to dispute the transaction on pp. and I need to respond, what should i say to win this situation.

also i checked my swappa listing, there's no mention of the phone being in warranty. But I'm not sure how did this happened the phone was brand new in box from Google so it should be under warranty.

Crazy thing is he wants his money back and wants to keep the phone. I'm like wtf.

I feel like he's lying. Is there any evidence of google rejecting his repair? since he claims its "out of warranty"? as far as I'm aware, any google phone comes with warranty.

It could be that he is lying, my only concern is that when he brings the phone to google would google know if it was a refunded phone? he's claim that it was a refurbished phone which gotta be impossible.

Yeah don't want to do that right now, googled his name and he either recently killed someone or they just have the same name.

The least you can do is ask for proof that Google said that or have him show where it says it's refurbished/out of warranty

yeah, very weird. Anyone knows how to approach this so I can the dispute on paypal?

paypal timeframe is 180 days so its past that or you're not accurate with the 7 months part.

Exact date was January 28. So 172 days from today. Any idea how should i proceed with this?

Could be he's f*ckng with me and waited for almost 6 months to open a dispute to get his money back.

I want to but at the same time, im afraid that google did send me a refurbished phone/out of warranty phone. But i had to be the most unluckiest person to buy from the site and get a refurbished phone that was sealed and sold as brand new.

At the same time if he shows a proof that it is refurbished it might be his advantage over the dispute. Unless I go with it wasn't advertised with warranty, which wasn't mentioned on my original listing

^ escalate the issue to paypal, and tell them that he might be lying, cause you've sent him with a brand new phone. You need to call pp asap to make this up.
