Unfortunate to hear. :/ After I got my first ticket 6 years ago (freshly got my license) I decided to invest in a radar detector, never looked back. Spent about $400 USD, but for sure worth it. It has saved me many times.

Shit dude here in California the cops go 80 in the 65. Its honestly normal for people to go 85 most of the time on the 2 left lanes (only on the 7 lane highways ofc).
My license got suspended 1 week ago for not stopping at a crosswalk and the guy wasn't even trying to cross the road. He was talking on the phone and staying there. But I'm still without a license for 1 month.
Closest I've been was 9 points recently out of an allowed 12. When i first passed i got DQd for too many points in my first 2 years and had to resit both theory and practical tests...
