Working config fps + removing fog in DBD 2.5.0.
You can use any of your old configs, which increased the red spot of the killer and removed the fog.
Change the line "[/script/engine.renderersettings]" to "[SystemSettings]" in Engine.ini. and your old config will work again.

Proof: Just go into the game and see that there is no smoke from the fire in the main menu

I want to clarify that the lines that completely remove fog, smoke and giving a brighter red spot are only in the archive "GOOD_mpgh.net.rar" from the topic that I indicated. I just downloaded and looked.

I have no problem with the loading screen. I changed only the desired "Engine.ini" file. I did not transfer the remaining files from the archive to the folder and I do not understand why they are there. Maybe this is the problem?

It is necessary to replace the entire line. Completely replace what is in the first quotes with what is in the second quotes.
