You can change your resolution with windows settings, display settings and display resolution and then it should work.
Don't think you can make a custom res through windows, but could be wrong? Either way, search up on youtube "AMD custom resolution" and first video should give you your answer. Assuming you have a AMD gpu. If not, there's other programs out there that you can find that does the same thing.

No changes in gameusersettings.ini? Also can I play streched while having windowed mode or is fullscreen needed to have this working?

This function lets you resize dbd to a custom X, Y size using the Windows API.

Code:

 [StructLayout(LayoutKind.Sequential)]
        public struct RECT
        {
            public int left;
            public int top;
            public int right;
            public int bottom;
        }

        [DllImport("user32.dll", SetLastError = true)]
        static extern bool GetWindowRect(IntPtr hWnd, ref RECT Rect);

        [DllImport("user32.dll", SetLastError = true)]
        static extern bool MoveWindow(IntPtr hWnd, int X, int Y, int Width, int Height, bool Repaint);

        static void Main(string[] args)
        {
            Process[] processes = Process.GetProcesses();
            foreach (Process p in processes)
            {
                if (p.ProcessName.StartsWith("DeadByDaylight-Win64-Shipping"))
                {
                    IntPtr handle = p.MainWindowHandle;
                    RECT Rect = new RECT();
                    if (GetWindowRect(handle, ref Rect))
                        MoveWindow(handle, Rect.left, Rect.top, 1080, 720, true); }
            }
        }

It worked for me, i didnt change anything in gameusersettings, not really sure if it works while having windowed mode but you can always test that.

The thing is that it doesn't work for me. Either I'm doing something wrong or it just simply doesn't work in windowed mode. Can you try and confirm for me so I don't waste hours finding out a solution which may not exists? Thanks

I have a feeling that it just works in fullscreen like almost all stretched res, not sure, if it doesnt work for you, then it shouldnt work for anyone else, as i said i havent tested it.
