Bitcoin Address Question

Hi, noob question here


I sold an item on a marketplace, entered by btc address from coinbase about 2 weeks ago

Lets say that address was something like 4238434bnibvfjkbb54kjbf34jkkjbjkb24jkrb

I made a sale and my small amount of bitcoin is being sent to 4238434bnibvfjkbb54kjbf34jkkjbjkb24jkrb



BUT now I look on coinbase and my receive address is 23423b54bnbcbfj2jkbnnv2jkb2bjv


I haven't received my btc yet, its been about 12hrs, starting to get a little concerned.
How do I get a bitcoin wallet with a constant address?

Coinbase and many other bitcoin wallet online uses rotation address to prevent tracking and promove anonimity on wallets.

If you used the address Coinbase told you, you should get the payment, even if you have a completely new address.

To prevent this from happening, you can download Electrum for example which is a BTC Wallet Software, idk if you can turn off Coinbase address rotation.

Send to us blockchain payment so i can check how many confirmation

When you posted this bitcoin was slow. I hope you got it by now,

but if people send to your old addy it will still send to your wallet. I am not sure how old, Like if its from 1 or 2 years ago. But I know if its recent it works. I never had anyone send to a very old wallet before.
