Yes
Yes, believe it or not , Your computer will "speak" without a microphone and if you are using recognition it will hear it as well, so if you send the speech to let's say msn phone or vent, it will pass....You don't even need a mic connected
Which is why if anyone has played with SpeechSDK and create a Faux AI, you may have the AI repeat a prompt , Example:
You: "Steve" ( for demo purposes my AI bot is called steve...don't ask, I don't know, Just the first random name)
AI Bot: Yes Sir,
You: What
Time is it?
Ai Bot: The
Time is 4:49 PM
Ai Bot: The
Time is 4:49 PM
Ai Bot: The
Time is 4:49 PM
Ai Bot: The
Time is 4:50 PM
Ai Bot: The
Time is 4:50 PM
You: STFU already , I know the
Time!!!!
Ai Bot: The
Time is 4:51 PM
Ai Bot: The
Time is 4:51 PM
Ai Bot: The
Time is 4:51 PM
Ai Bot: The
Time is 4:52 PM
: Steve Stops:
You: It's about
Time
Ai Bot: The
Time is 4:53 PM
Ai Bot: The
Time is 4:53 PM
Ai Bot: The
Time is 4:54 PM
You: Steve , STFU!!!!!!
You: Steve: Search Google for: STFU!!!!
Then you realize to use a listen trigger command........After about 10 minutes of redundant hell, listening to Microsoft Sam , Who sounds like a drugged out 60's enthusiast who swallowed a Ancient robot voice modulator that swallowed a Cat who nibbled some left over paste and is a little "high" on the chemicals
Point is, The AIBOT (Speech Recognition, hears the triger "Time" so it repeats itself
Which reminds me of a project I did once, so I am going to share it, it is old school , and was done in vb6 as a speechsdk learning experience, but it was fun when I was younger, and requires a small (easy to do ) Mod on some hardware...
Ill post it in the VB section
