Cheap email hosting for multiple domains?
Hey all,

Anybody have any recommendations for a cheap place I can host multiple domain emails? For example, I have 10 domains:
example1.com, example2.com, example 3.com and so on.

I need a place to host a singular email for each domain like support@example1.com, support@example2.com, support@example3.com and so on. I'm looking for a cheap place that does this and their emails aren't sent to spam on popular email providers like gmail and outlook.

Any recommendations? I know I can get a shared hosting plan at about $2 a month and attach the email there, but their emails get sent straight to spam. Honestly looking for something hella cheap, like $5 a month. I don't need to send out too many emails, maybe 1-5 a day per domain
I haven't looked into the details, but Google Workspace is free now and it lets you have email accounts like that.

It says its $8.40 per user, does per user mean per email? Hence, one domain will be $8.40?

I looked into it and the free tier is coming by the end of this month, but it won't allow custom domains. If you only need email functionality, the best I know is NameCheap which provides simple email hosting for your domain for about $1/month.

Name cheap looks good. $1 a month sounds fair. Was lowkey kinda hoping to find something like $5 a month for unlimited domains (kind of like how they offer shared web hosting).

- Certificate, DKIM, and SPF maintenance.
- Bit of a investment to setup - Generating keys, certificates, testing each and every mail, and so much more.
- POP, IMAP, SMTP, HTTP, are only a few of the protocols you will need.
- You're going to need failovers, otherwise you risk not receiving emails.

My point, is that it certainly is not an easy task, and you will save a lot of money and time by simply using a 3rd party service.

I should also mention, even if you don't think you will need POP, IMAP, whatever other stupid protocol they have... you likely will, as a lot of self hosted solutions actually use them for internal communication. For example, I know a lot of PHP based versions just communicate with POP/IMAP backends.
Haha yea, was definitely not looking to host my emails by myself. Running a self made site is already a headache.

It's alright for 1 domain, definitely not cheap for multiple domains

I've been using the free zoho mail (because I only need 2 emails on one domain), which was enough for me. Now that I am expanding and creating new domains, I can't keep my mail free.

I though of having a shared hosting one, but all those emails get sent directly to spam because the IP's are considered "bad"

Yeah I suppose, depends how much money you make off of each domain.

I definitely make a lot more than the charge for an email. However, its not about that, its about ROI. Every dollar counts. If quality is more or less the same and the price is vastly different, I would always pick the cheaper price. In this case I found Zoho can do it for $12/yr.
