Vac question

Does VAC ban your entire account or just the game you were cheating on

just the game...I think. But soon we wont even need steam to use our games.

No? my brother got banned for hacking one game.. and steam account banned of all games. so ur account gets banned

well if I am right, someone in the forum posted that it is banning in group if I am right it is like all game with IWnet will be banned since you were hacking on IWnet

Munkstar, from what i've heard it bans by game engine, so if he had all source games he'd be fucked

No.
It bans you for the particular game engine.
For example, if you hacked and were detected in CSS, you would be banned from all games of that game engine.

So if you hacked in mw2, you'd be banned in mw2

if you got detected using vac hacks ALL vac games you have installed are banned if you got busted for using hacks on VAC2 then all games that are VAC2 will be banned...

Are you sure? Every other source i've found says that it only bans the game engine you were hacking on.

yes because i had installed on steam counter strike source team fortress 2 half life and portal and i got busted hacking on cs:s and all Vac games that i had i cant play online which are the ones up top that i mentioned... but my games that are VAC2 arnt banned yet i can show you screen shot if you want...

That would be because they're all on the source engine, one ban on a source engine and pop, they're all gone
