Invisible frame

Hey, i am making a sig, and having half of the person come out of the frame. I tried to frame around where i wanted, but then under the part that is sticking out of the frame, it is white, not transparent. Anyone know how to do this?

delete the white, save as .png?

yeah save as png, jpeg doesnt support transparent
