I reckon it's more of a fluke then anything. You have to compensate for gravity, wind and obstacles in your way.
Honestly I dont believe in this because, correct me if Im wrong, the most powerful sniper rifle ever is the Barret M90 and M95. Is the L115A3 rifle better and more powerful than the Barret M90?

I read this from a Sniper Magazine
It stated that a person from the Army of the military segment shot and killed an insurgent over 1 mile at Iraq or Afgan (Forgot and too lazy to check)
It was said the individual used the most advanced single bolt-action long rage rifle (LRR) at that time (which was at 2008~2009)
The L115A3 happened to be released on May 2008, the currently most advanced LRR at that time
The most advanced Barrett is the Barrett M107, which was used in ODS
Therefore, the L115A3 is currently the most advanced
And just as an extra, the Barrett M107 is the first Barrett that came with a semi-auto firing mode
