A Quick Question on Processors

Hey Guys, say System Requirements for a Game are 2.5 GHZ Processor.

The Intel core 2 Quad processor provides 2.4 GHZ speeds per core.

Since it is a QUAD Processor it has four Cores, will that change the Overall GHZ Speed?

what game, if its a single core game asking for those requirements then a dual core with lower specs would do just fine since your computer would split up the jobs between themselfs

no if someone had a quad core that was 2.4 and someone with a Single Core 9.6 the 9.6 would kick the quad core's ass
