I just downloaded cod 5 (illegally) and it works fine, but when ever i try to dl the patches it says Setup did not detect a valid Call of Duty(tm) CD Key. i tryed re entering my a cd key in multiplayer options but it still doesnt work.. any help please?

Probably you got a fake CD key since you downloaded your product illegally. Public CD keys out there may be fake or currently being used.
