I just started my first programming course in University last week, I'm already 5 weeks ahead of the course . It's damned boring, least I can aim for 100%. I didn't even know any Java going into the Java course, just other languages lol.

Read hacking the xbox by Andrew Huang then you will be >>
Don't worry you got us
You know this discussion would have been better suited for the Coder's Lounge. But I know what you mean. I wish I had a chance to rape my professor, but can't even take a flipping programming course yet. The whole idea of linear step by step learning is ridiculous, as if any concept exists solely on it's own, but its rather connected to many other concepts. That's why I think goal-oriented/ self-pace learning is best.

I'm interested in electrical engineering simply because programming seems like a waste of my time. idk what they could teach me in a class room that I couldn't learn better on my own.

True, computer engineering is a lot harder to learn on your own than computer programming; I'm doing it for the same reason.
