Changing program's release icon.
heyy guyss

pretty much the title speaks for itself, im new to VB and i just cant get to save my projects as an .exe with my custom icon, after a lil research i found how to get my project as an .exe but it come in with default icon, can someone help me save my programs as .exe with my icon?

go to Project down at the bottom it says what ever u projects name is properties then go to application an where it says icon should drop down a menu then go to browse an choose what u want must be a .ico file

okkay i think you didn't understand, take a look at this:

You need to click on "Project" (or something) and edit the icon, its not the app icon its the exe icon...

you mean right click? and edit? nope doesn't work, can you tv me or something like i said im new to VB

On the solution explorer, there is "Project" or "Settings" something like that.

okk imma try that right now and tell you in next post but how do you get the project as .exe? do you go into the project folder like me or just click something and you get it on your desktop?

Click on "My Projects"
on the Solution Explorer above the Properties

it open the project setting? i change the icon and i tried both publishing it, gives me a installation pack which i don't want, and saving it doesn't change anything? can you tv me please ?

omg thank you i got it to save with ma icon
but waittttttttttt
now i ran into another problem, i see ma project with ma icon but when i drag it on ma desktop from the project folder it turn back into

You haven't built or debugged it yet.
Try to debug or build it again and you should have your custom icon ^^
