Aliens

Stephen Hawking warned us not to communicate with species in other planets. And, no mean to disrespect anyone, but Hawking is a fucking genius. So, this opens up the debate:

Is there life in other planets?
How certain can we be?
Are they passive or intend to rape us?
Should we, then, attempt to establish contact, and further more, live in peace with them?

Aliens do exist

It's probable, but in the way Hawking predicts this shit, he's a fucking idiot. Sure, he's a genious with other stuff, but people think hes smart or guessing about aliens?

And he warned us not to communicate? Where does he get this information from? Unless he is somehow telepathic, or he has actually (not phsycologically by himself) communicated with aliens then I can't believe him

I'm not sure if "aliens" are exactly real in that sense. But I do believe that the universe is enormously huge, and there has to be SOMETHING else out there.

And why would there necessarily be aliens like the movie aliens they could exactly like us they could be a prehistoric us they could be animals they could be super advanced robots that took over.

Um... probably they have studied us enough... and maybe they realized they don't have much to learn from us than things which they might have forgotten... And if they are real and have been checking us, there are in fact alien appearances dating from the times of Colombus... so they might just realize we're worthless so expansion is the next step? What would we do if we would find a planet, almost in perfect conditions for us to live, filled with an under-developed race easy to destroy, whilst our planet is fucked up (just like it will be in 50-100 years)? Would we really hesitate? And if there are aliens, how do we know they can distinguish good from bad.
