Solvedputting mods on minecraft help

PLZ CAN SOME one help me with putting a mod on minecraft the version with force update.

I am no expert, but there are two options here.

1. Look for a readme file.

2. Usually pretty much ALL the mod gets put in the minecraft.jar file.

If it is #1, it is obvious. Follow the prompts.

If it is #2, then you open your minecraft.jar (usually with WinRAR. This file is found in the .minecraft folder, which is easily located in Windows 7.

Go to Start, then simply type %APPDATA% and hit enter. You should get a folder App Data\roaming. In there is a folder .minecraft, in there is folder called bin, in there you will see minecraft.jar.

Open minecraft.jar with WinRAR, then simply drag the files into the minecraft.jar. ( I find it works better if you extract any archives to a folder, then copy them files from there to minecraft.jar)

As for the "Force Update", I believe each time you use "Force Update", it reverts the whole minecraft back to standard and you will need to put each MOD back in manually.

Probably confusing, but hope it helps.
