Erasing Hard drive?

pretty much Lost my windows install disks ages ago can afford to get a different OS
I want to completely erase my hard drive How can i do it without deleting my OS?

Delete everything. Except the OS.

Go ask one of your nerd friends, and he'll probably have a disc

Don't have any nerd friends

download an OS
burn it to a CD
wipe your entire HDD
and reinstall the OS you downloaded

I got no writeable cds/dvds

open C:/
Ctrl+a
Deselct user, and windows
delete.

Yeah I still need to move all my files onto my other pc
gonna take ages
