would changing ur character size affect paladin trans skill aoe or even just trans in general?

No it wont, size change pretty much just shrinks/enlarges your character. Even objects that your character is holding gets resized with it. You will be able to do pretty much everything small as in normal height. Now if your enlarged... there's quite a few things you can't do. All depends on how much you enlarge yourself.
One good thing about being small size is you can do stuff quicker.
Maybe I'm mistaken, but glancing at the files, size does seem to affect the tentacle speed.
