I need some good recording software besides Fraps. Recorded 50 seconds video and the file size is 1.1gb.

Try this. It barely lags for me, and it is almost as good as fraps, in my opinion.

@AVGN I just use the regular Combat Arms thing for recording that because CA is laggy enough without it, but I can show you another one.

hyper cam? idk i think fraps is the goodest game recorder there is
fraps is the best option by far, it records in good defenition with easy use and set-up
dont record for no reasons. and takes up alot of space, render it and 10 minutes of gameplay is like 25mb with some effect and a good song

Agreed, Fraps IS the best one out there, not really many alternates. Is A MONOPOLY!!
To be honest i use the CA Recorder, i set it to High Quality MPEG-4 and dont lag at all.
I get amazing quality and all but the only problem is Sony Vegas has an error opening up MPEG-4 files.
Anyone know a fix?

I personally use Fraps, But It lags The fucking Shit outta me , Like when recording i get usually 10-25 Fps .. Low as hell Ikr?
But I usually Record a game, Transfer It to After Effects to make it HD, Take a nap, About 3 hours later I take that video and take it To Camastia studio 7 and Make it Same Resolution and shit then Render it, Comes up from 1-3 Gb to 250-500 Mb.
