There is no point to that though. The difference between the two is negligible, and probably wont make a shred of difference in real time applications. The only difference you will be seeing between a good 8GB 1600 kit and a 8GB 1800 is a price raise of at least $60. Unless he is going for some heavy overclocking, the 1600 is as good as he needs.

Your probably right, I'm used to building high end computers for friends, so for me it's not enough.

You're retarded, mhz rating means nothing when it comes to CAS timing. 1600mhz CAS 7 set absolutely shits on a 1800mhz CAS 9 set.
