My new computer

So first off, I know I've been inactive lately, and that is mainly due to me having moved in with a few friends of mine, and not having any time for piddling around on MPGH anymore. Which is why I resigned. But I still have time to drop in and post some stuff around, and just yesterday I finished my computer that I've been trying to build for months now. I figured I would show some pics of it for shits and giggles. So here you are.

First off the specs:
Intel Core i7 2600 @ 3.4Ghz (still have to get around to boosting it up to 3.8)
Asus P8Z68-V
ATI Radeon HD 6950 2GB
8GB G.Skill RipjawX 1600 Mhz
2x 1TB F3 Spinpoints
AX850 Modular PSU
Corsair H80 CPU cooler
Fractal Design Define XL
Some shitty $20 24x Asus DVD burner.

Total price is near $1100, but thats a rough estimate.

Heres all the parts in one picture. We thought it would be funny to get a picture of one of my roomates doing a thug pose with some cash and a gun in his hand, but you guys dont get to see that picture.

The color scheme Im going for is a sky/light blue and black, so its nice the motherboard fits that exactly. And the RAM complimented the heatsinks on the mobo nicely, like so:


The CPU was already in in this one.

And after an unbelievable amount of work trying to route cables and get the to reach correctly we wind up with this:




Now please keep in mind that this is not going to be the final product, as I have not even ordered my sleeving yet. I need to order some longer power cables though, because as you can see, they are quite nastily hanging around in the open, and I had to take the top panel off the PSU chamber in order to get the CPU and CPU cooler fan cables to work. The back end is stuffy and I had to jam the side panel on again. Im hoping that once I get the new wires it will be quite a bit cleaner looking. The sleeving I plan on getting is this black:

So once I got that it should be worthy of some nicer pictures. But for the time being its all kinda sloppily thrown in there and it makes me sad.

Desk is messy though, along with the entire living room, and most of my room as well.

Also, I got a free copy of Dirt 3 and 2 free beanies from newegg because they love me.

I think you need a new desk in general. Or another one. One for Computer and one for Console.

Trust me, when its actually clean, there is plenty of room. I spend a lot of time playing games right here, so its nice to have everything in one place. Hell the xbox in our living room barely gets touched, regardless of being hooked up to a 54"

Also, check the temps:


They where idling around 21 when I started, and this was after a while of doing stuff. Dont mind the motherboard though, it seems to be glitched. It was reading 127 last night too.
