I need math help...

I dont know why but i just can't seem to understand this...but right now in math were learning permutations and combinations. pretty easy concept. heres the question

A bag contains 3 red, 5 yellow, and 8 blue marbles. how many ways can 2 red, 1 yellow, and 2 blue marbles be chosen

There are programs on calculators that will do this for you, but if you want an actual lesson the calculator can't teach you.

OK well first do you understand that this is a combination equation and not a permutation.

So a Permutation is when order does matter.

When order matters AB DOES NOT equal BA.

But a combination is when the order does not matter.
AB = BA.

Edit: The only bad thing is that the question doesn't state whether order matters or not.

So if the order did not matter than there would be only one way to take the marbles out of the bag.

im pretty sure its a combination.
