Help?

Wasn't too sure about posting this here but I figured I would.

I went to EBgames today and asked for a copy of Battlefield 3 for the Xbox 360. I got the limited edition for $80 & got home to notice all the codes didn't work. Not the guns, not the maps, not the online pass and now I can't play online. I went back and they pointed out that it was a pre-owned copy and the codes have a 50% chance to work depending if the previous owner used them or not, I never even asked for a pre-owned copy and now I can't return the game because I'm lacking my receipt, all I've got on it now is the single player.

What I'm asking is does anybody have a spare code or any idea how I can bypass/get a free pass code? I just don't think it's fair to sell me a pre-owned copy of limited edition when I didn't ask for a pre-owned copy and I can't use any of the limited edition content.

Well if the product was advertised as new and EBgames sold it as new, explain the situation to them and demand a replacement. Your story doesn't make sense hwoever in my opinion:

1: Limited Edition is no longer sold. If this is the way they identified it as a 'pre-owned' game, then ignore #2
2: How would they know it is a pre-owned game?
3: $80 is extremely expensive for a pre-owned game. You can easily buy it for half the price completely new.
4: Just doesn't make sense.. how could you have bought a copy not seeing it was preowned.

If you end up being stuck with the invalid code, and EBGames is shitty enough to not give you a replacement or refund, i'll help you out more. It was a bit stupid of you to throw away the receipt (look in the trash?), but if all else fails, dispute the payment with your credit card company if you paid with a credit card. Let me know if any of this works ^^.
