Your not exactly true. This is the sequence of the dog tags:
For the 9 days, you have to complete each daily mission. During those 9 days, if you don't do a daily mission and decide to skip it for a day, then the next dog tag gets delayed because you did not finish your mission. I'm not sure if you get what I mean, but I'll keep going. So hence, if you skip one daily mission out of 9 days, then to get all the dog tags, it will require 1 extra day to finish, thus resulting in 10 days to get 9 dog tags.
If you miss 2 daily missions, then the dog tags will be delayed TWICE, meaning you will earn all your 9 dog tags in 11 days. Etc, etc, etc.
To get all the dog tags in 9 days exact, then you have to complete each daily mission non-stop without skipping one for the 9 days. So, you have to finish you daily mission 9 times in 9 days, straight. Then your dog tags don't get delayed, so it builds up to CROSSFIRE letters freely.
