FIRST is an organization whose main goal is to get kids K-12 interested in fields such as computer science and engineering through robotics.
Teams have to build a robot to complete a challenge or a certain aspect of a challenge and then compete with/against other robots. In the biggest robotics competition (FRC), teams will have to manage their team like a business by gaining sponsors (I believe it's $12,000 to enter).
