Vmware, how many times? :)
Hello guys, i have a question. How many times do you think i can open vindictus by virtual machine not to burn up my pc?

I have 8gb ddr3
Geforce 550ti 2gb dd5
6 core procesor 2,9gb- 18,9mb cache on turbo?

Of course i will exe it on lowest details.

Please, answer me fast, if It's possible .
I will say about 2~3
It won't "burn up" your comp, just gets laggy, you'll recognize it.
Just keep adding until you see noticeable lag, then you have too many.
im noob so who can explain me what virtual machines means?

lol @Nico

A VMware machine is an operating system running inside an operating system.

... *over your head*

@birchehe
8GB I wouldn't go more than 2 for it to run smoothly. your ram is your limiting factor. give each VM 2GB and 2 cores if it's 2.9GHz. else it might work for a bit but won't be smooth for 24/7 operation. Could push it to 3 if you get 2-4 more GB ram.
im currently running 3. i cant add more, it starts to lag and then ill have to adjust the delay
If you're a number-crunching guy, I run Vindictus on lowest possible settings on a stock HP Probook 4520s with just a mite of framerate issue.
(2gb ram laptop)
Would the OS on the VM itself matter much? ie. 64-bit as opposed to 32-bit take up more resources? I have a decent system but can't even run 2x 64-bit Windows 7 VM's :/ Also what would be key to running more VM's? RAM? Processor? HD speed? Video card?
64bit does need more ressources. What are your current specs?
Highly advise you also keep an eye on your temperatures. Without proper cooling running 3 VMs with 3 game instances at once its gonna put them pretty up there.
I would be happy if I could even get two running in the back and still be able to do stuff on my main OS lol.
Anyway my specs are (according to CPU-Z):

i7 2600 overclock @ 4.7 GHz
8GB RAM
GeForce GTX570

I think my HD speed is pretty bad, though. It's a WD 1TB 32mb cache (does that mean anything?) with a blue sticker label.
Any advice to running more VM's?

Going to try using 32 bit OS instead tonight.

EDIT: changing the OS to 32-bit seems to help a lot.. I can run 2 in the back ground (1x 32-bit 1x64-bit) with no lag at all.
