Removing Megaphone chat?

Hi, guys.

I've read in several places there's some type of mod which allows one to remove the megaphone chat. I've searched for hours and have yet to find anything—would anyone here know where I can get something like that? It annoys the hell out of me.

From what I've read, you're a pretty prominent member of this group—so I'm uh... not exactly sure whether or not you're genuinely curious (a couple of the threads I read about it were on the official forums as well), or this is sarcasm meaning something along the lines of, "If it's on the main forums, it's not true." There's got to be some kind of means of minutely altering the UI like that... right? :l

I'd be stoked if you did—I find that to be one of the most annoying features in any game, ever.

Also, thanks very much if you do (and for even considering it if you don't). I know nothing about the ongoings behind these types of things, but any effort put into it is something I really appreciate.

Well all the UI is done with Scaleform, so that would be the place to look. I suspect there could even be a way to remove it with console commands, but the list hasn't been updated since the megaphone was released. *cough*
