AP Classes?

I'm currently a freshman and I want to be enrolled in AP Computer Science. However, my counselor enrolled me in AP Environmental Science. Now I'm thinking of being in both. How hard are these classes? (I have some experience in programming; basic knowledge of C++)

Requirements:
1 year of HS algebra
Biology & Chemistry taken

I'm in Pre-calc so I meet the standards for math. However, I didn't take Chem yet. (In Biology atm)

I know that a game hacking forum isn't really a great place to discuss topics like this, but hopefully, someone can answer this. Thanks!

EDIT: Just to clarify, I am allowed to be in AP CS, but my counselor enrolled me in the wrong class. I wanted to be in APCS; she enrolled me in AP Env. Sci. So now I'm thinking about being in both.

1 more question, if I take these AP classes in 9th, will my GPA go up? I don't really get how the 10-12 GPA and the Weighted & Non-weighted GPA works..

smart kid ehh? i guess you'll have to wait till next year, unless your counselor will make an exception.

Honestly you should go to 2 AP classes the first time. AP classes are totally different then regular classes (there just harder). You should start with one then work your way up.

I am allowed to be in APCS, my counselor just enrolled me in the wrong class, and now I'm thinking about being in both Env. Sci and Comp. Sci.

The thing is, nearly all my friends are freshmen; only one of them are taking an AP Class (doing APCS cause he wanted to do it with me) All of them except for my friend taking APCS, don't know that you can take AP classes online. But the thing is, if I take it next year, I'll have 4-6 AP classes... 2 are mandatory and I have to take 1 more (my brother did, I have to follow his footsteps)
-AP Calc (Mandatory; taking pre-calc this year)
-AP USHistory (Mandatory; pre-ib program requires it)
-AP Euro (Bro took it so i have too. Plus, it's mandatory to take in 11th, so doesn't make much of a diff i guess..)

AP classes are college level classes. The more you have the better off you are. My school only had 2. Very disappointing. The key is taking only as much as you can manage. If you can manage with 2, great, if you feel like you're going to slip, drop 1. You can always take it next year.

That being said, you should ask other kids at your school who have taken both classes and see how it is, that's how I based my class selection in high school.

My High School's experience with AP classes has been that most universities don't take them seriously. I.e, Calc and AP Calc are virtually the same in their eyes. I'm not sure how other subject works; but I was told to take the courses if I wanted a head-start in the subject and not to expect any credit for taking them.
