Hacks / editors
Obviously the game released lastnight / today so I don't expect anything posted yet however I did want to throw out what I had for knowledge. I saw a few 'trainers' for borderlands 1 that did not work in arena or online co-op but the stats did carryover if saved prior to joining. I have never seen a "hack" that worked while online for borderlands 1 but I am sure one existed (didn't even check these forums for example). There was a MAJOR save game editor that allowed custom weapons / inventory management, stat modifications such as dex or level and this was probably the better option since the inventory manager allowed you to make very powerful weapons out of mods within the game so they were hacked items but looked real due to the random weapon generator within borderlands.

My suggestion would be another editor rather than straight hack imo, no idea my coding skills have never nor will they ever make hacks lol, too lazy to learn how to hide hacks etc.

Personally going to play with CE and see how that does this time around might be a simple search for stats who knows.
Easy CE stuff is all I've done. Skill points, Eridium, Money, Tokens, EXP, etc. Yep everything is really easy to hack.
ive tried to mod EXP and it didnt work could you please explain how you did it?

Find your current exp, say you are at 57/150 exp

So you search 57 under "All" value types

Gain some exp and change the value accordingly so (you gain 11 exp so you change it to 68)

Click "Next"

Repeat until you get only a few values that only reflect your current EXP value. To make sure you have them make sure they change accordingly as you gain exp.
i tried that everytime i search the new value it disappears

have you tried backpack space?
yes you can do backpack space.

how do you get you're current XP?
Make sure your searching for the amount of EXP you currently have, not the amount that you need.
how do you check you'r current XP? theres no counter like borderlands 1
your current xp is shown in your quest log
anyone mind trying hex-comparing? would be useful for those of us who cannot run it on pc so have to use console versions; fyi hex-comparing is doing manually with 2 copies of the same save file what CE does; for exp for instance, you write down your current exp, copy your save file to a sep spot, load into game, kill one enemy, take down new xp, exit game, then open both save files in a hex editor, use a hex translator to get the hexadecimal form of the two numbers, and see where in the save files the numbers occur with same offset. if you have too many, get another save file with same thing done, and compare, till u only have 2 or 3 spots where they are the same, then change it to the hex form of your chosen exp value. ofc backup save first, then replace and, if all is done correctly, your next kill should level you up to match your exp. note that going over max xp might cause you to be reset; ofc since you're all pc users, you can use CE to find out the max xp. anyone mind posting the exp value for max level for those of us who can't use the pc copy?

Sounds like someone bought it for the wrong console.

BL2 packed up their save files, you can't really edit them as easily as BL's save games. Those were just so fucking easy to parse that it was a joke, I even made my own parser in three days. Not saying it's impossible, but even minor changes (e.g. for the profile) spawn pretty big changes in the actual saved file. I'll just let someone with proper knowledge on decryption and/or poking around & reverse engineering in UE bother with these things. However it's pretty easy to use CE or the likes to create a trainer/hack and I've already created a character on which I intend to have a bit of ... special fun ... with.
