What's so "fuck yeah" about it? The entire coast line is GONE. We have a massive gas shortage and town water is undrinkable as more water is being run through than the filters can run. Over 900,000 without power, and 65 people died. Thereis no more boardwalk, as well people are displaced. So be happy you have no school, I'm going to continue helping my town rebuild itself.

Entire east coast? Dont think so brah. It was sunny and a little warm here today. You must be thinking of upstate areas where the hurricane actually hit the country. Which was about halfway up the coast.

I forgot the "in the north" part I didn't even realize that, thanks for the correction. Still not something to be "fuck yeah" about IMO.

Shit, we didnt even get anything that bad here. The wind blew a bit, but I was at work when the hurricane hit. Nobody cared.

And the reason there is so much destruction from the hurricane, is because northern states are not prepared for them. Everything from the trees up there, to their building codes are simply not meant for hurricanes. Down here they are which is why most people in the south just dont give a fuck about the hurricane.

We have nor'easter standards and protocol which call for up to 60 *** winds max, the destruction on the coast line was just...well inevitable. Entire chunks of a few of the bay areas are just gone in general so that can't be helped through protocol, and the boardwalk/pier are designed to withstand a fuckload of force...just not the force of 75 *** winds and 15 foot waves at the same time

We couldn't help the telephone poles splintering like toothpicks, nor the trees being uprooted. I don't know how you prepare for that.

The only thing I can agree with you on, is that the cities such as atlantic city and other coastal cities weren't prepared. The mayor of atlantic city even told the people to stay, that he didn't want them to leave, fucking moron As for nature raping nature and telephone poles, we couldn't prepare for that as the telephone poles splintered in different sections. They just couldn't take the force of the wind in general, and they are standardized with most of the East coast

Yeah. In the place I live, we don't really get many natural disasters.
No school is always a good thing, and worth celebrating.
