New patch encrypts profile?

Before I used to be edit the profile.txt file and allow myself to use the arrow keys to move in game.. no longer! When I open it, all the stuff appears garbled..

Anybody know how I can unencrypt or just edit it to allow me to STRAFE left and right with arrows?

Otherwise I don't think I can play again and will have to move onto another game.

Re-download the game.

Will try and if so give you a thumbs up if it works. Good suggestion I hadn't thought of.

I uninstalled the game, re-downloaded, re-installed. No luck!

I absolutely cannot play without arrow keys.

they encrypted it for a reason: so people will stop changing their settings.
like you know how people could fix headbob, gunsway, etc. just by changing 1 to 0?
they didnt like that.
so they made it virtually impossible.

i got mine to work
i had a back up of teh profile.txt and when i put it in there it kept getting replaced so then i thought i need to make this file impossible to remove so i made it a read only and them i encripted it and it has not got replaced yet
im am smart :P

Who the hell uses arrow keys nowadays. WASD has been teh shit ever since DOOM man.

Either they A)Encypted it, or B) Changed all the characters to some fucked up symbols. Most likely the first though because nexon fails hard dick. Look for APIs used to open files, or read files, trace them back and you should find some code that decrypts memory into a buffer in memory. So hook that method, create a simple filter for the buffer after it's been decrypted. Although you could probably just use key rebinders.

I've been using arrows since the 90's and won't change. WASD is so uncomfortable for me.

They could have left key settings and moved other settings elsewhere.

I filed a complain with the Better Business Bureau.
