Looking For Some Programmers For a video Game!!!!

HI im making a RPG called The Cat's Meow.
Its a 16-bit style game that has cats as the characters. I am kind of starting a company about making the game so if anyone wants to join plz respond.
I need some java programmers that are decent. And some game designers (ill post that in the game design). I am looking forward to working with anyone that wants to join! Thx

why java over c++, just curious.

Java is a great language, but c++ can use so much more for game development.

you say java ..
is there already large code base? Must project be in java?

I remember there was something like "RPG Maker" on steam for $80, it was pretty cool when I went over to my friends house we designed a couple of sprites. It wasn't too hard either, so I'd give that a go. It doesn't require any programming skills either, just drag and drop. And it's pretty advanced too.

imo there are enough game engines out there, as long as your project isn't SUPER performance intensive, just find an engine that does what you want, and use it. It'll save you months of work as far as creating model editors, world editors, the combat system etc etc. some of them have more features (ie. classes, Player, combat system, etc) than others, so look them up. It's still going to be *very very complicated*, but in terms of speed, probably faster to get an end result..or, some kind of result
