How does one get his points up?

I am quite new to that system

Posting, PMing, starting threads, being active, ect.

There's a whole list. Go to your profile, and click the "Experience" tab. It's all there.

This isn't Pokemon, you don't get your points up for leveling up and there's no cheats like rare candy and shit.
When you come to the forum, you participate for whatever fair reason, not to come and boost an ego because you want to play games with points, they mean nothing.

i think getting banned also gets you points

getting thanks, reps, and posting.
