Ping Issue

Hey guys can someone tell me how to improve my ping.
Yesterday I was playing CF and the ping was ranging from 70-90 when suddenly it jumped to 5000 the dropped to 800. I tried every thing I can think of,I restarted the router many times, I contacted my ISP many times and even tried changing my IP.

Can someone tell me how to improve my ping.

Try closing some programs that may be consuming internet+ Try to be the only connection to ur router use an Ethernet cable and try this..
