/bump.....
Everytime I use CCleaner to clear files on my computer, it resets ONLY the Google Chrome Browser. Why does it do this and how do I stop it? I only have Cache, History, Session, and Download History checked? This never happened before until recently.
When you say that it resets the browser...
What exactly are you implying? I need a little more information about your situation before I can help you resolve your issue.
For example: is it resetting your browser to complete default settings? Is it deleting more than you have selected under Google Chrome in CCleaner?
I need specific information
Thanks!
This is very strange, as CCleaner is not suppose to remove that... Though I assume anything is possible with software these days.
Try this:
1.) Remove both CCleaner and Google Chrome
2.) Restart your PC
3.) Install CCleaner first
4.) Then install Google Chrome
5.) After you have installed CCleaner & Google Chrome, match your settings to mine as shown here...(The google chrome options can be modified to your liking)
Let me know if this still produces the same result. If it does I will look in to the problem with a little more detail and see what I can dig up.
Hope this helps!

Hmmm, this situation seems a bit complex.
I will look in to it, see if I can reproduce the issue. If anything we could always resort to a "Remote Control Access" using teamviewer or something.
I'll edit this post if I find anything.
EDIT: @AnAznBoy9724 What extensions are you using in Google Chrome? My investigation requires I install the exact same extensions :P Also what OS are you using? (Win xp, vista, 7, or 8)

I am on Windows 7 64-bit using the Adblock plus extension. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/d...dilifddb?hl=en
Wow...
This is quiet strange! I have used that extension since I got Google Chrome and I have never had issues with CCleaner doing a reset. Sounds like a registry issue.
Send me a PM, we can try teamviewer so I can better understand whats going on here. All I know is it definitely doesn't seem right.

All you have to do is uncheck Google Chrome as one of the applications for it clean :P.
I think by reset it means it clears history/cookies/cache and etc. It is possible to stop it.
When you go to cleaner there is a tab called "Applications" under that you can uncheck everything and it will leave your google chrome alone.
I used to think this wasn't possible too till I started to play around with it lol
Open C cleaner. Before analyzing, you have to un-click the delete caches, cookies and stuff on the preferences.
