So, i just started to learn visual basic last night (so like less than 24 hours ago) and from my spastic learning experience I've made this :3

Yeah i might try to make one of those, but i figured hacking flash and editing attributes is a good place to start and build on!

Just started watching random instructional YouTube videos

All i needed was basic guidelines and i took it from there, then if i ran into an issue i looked it up. So to answer your question, not one place in particular!

Kinda depends on what your wanting to do, what i mad was pretty easy.
