[Help] Can you hack someone through IP address?

Can you hack someone through IP address?

Hey everyone.

So recently I got hacked (in a stupid way) and the person took my stuff, but they also left their IP address behind for me to look at

I just wanted to know if it's possible to hack someone just by obtaining their IP address or by atleast doing something to them like ddosing them or something.

Basically, I just want to get back at them. If someone wants I can give them the IP so they can hack it themselves or something.

Hope someone can help me

I dont think its possible to hack via ip =)
But you can always ddos/boot them.
Only problem is they probally are behind a vpn or something =)

I highly doubt that since a large percentage of Runescape players are small children who know nothing about a VPN or anything. He probably shared his account with somebody, which explains the "In a stupid way", and the person he was sharing with cleaned it.

Well im just talking from experience of ratting runescape players =)

Yeah, IP hacking is not possible, unless you write a false client which would be able to ping your computer with another. This would allow for a simple KeyLogger to be put in place. This method otherwise would be known as a backdoor, however you're not actually placing a backdoor on the machine, it's just that the custom client would only allow KeyLogger to send you information only whenever the client is running.
However, I haven't been on new Runescape, and I am only experienced in the old one. Basically before they screwed the game up.
If such a client was to be able to send TCP packets from a machine to another machine, a problem would be to get the victim to use the custom client... :/
But boot him/her or DDoS them if revenge is what you seek.

Well metasploit would be able to drop a payload giving remote access -.-

Im not familiar with metasploit, just thought it was for penetration testing :/

First off I never mentioned downloading a hack on YouTube ._.

Also there are tutorials on how to hack people's accounts on this site.
