How to increase your FPS
How to increase your FPS

Can't seem to pass 30 FPS? Can't stop lagging durin PvP? Here's a quick fix for windows that should help you out a lot!
This tutorial is for windows 8, however similiar methods should be available for other OS's

1. Open any folder then right click on 'My Computer' and click 'Properties'
2. Click 'Advanced System Settings'. A new window should appear.
3. Under 'Performance' click 'Settings'. Another window should appear.
4. On the new window, click the advanced tab and under 'Virtual Memory' click change. (Again, another window)
5. Click 'Custom size' and type in (in megabytes) a decent number. The maximum is listed a little above the boxes. I put for the minimum '5120' and for the maximum '20480'.
6. Click 'Set'. Click OK to any box that appears, and when prompted restart your computer.
7. Enjoy higher FPS! (With Optifine, I went from an average of 30 FPS to 100 FPS)

TL;DR: Allocate disk space to virtual memory
Hmm, i get great fps already, but nice to know in the future. What exactly does this do? why isn't it default? Is there any risks/consequences with doing this?

You can set it too high and crash. But you have to try to mess this up.

What? Do you mean "If you buy a new computer will it give you better FPS?" If so, then, it depends. I'm guessing if you're buying a new computer you're upgrading from your old one, or your old one broke down. If you're upgrading, it all depends on the Ram, graphics, etc. Basically system specs.
This is virtual ram, not really recommended from what I was told. Ram is cheap, and the hard drive/SSD is no way as fast as a ram stick.
Awesome tut already knew this but it will be a big help to those who don't know.

Actually, this varies from computer to computer.
