Assuming they were on equal power levels, goku knows martial arts. If we know anything about asian culture, its that if you know martial arts and the other side doesn't, you automatically win.

They aren't on equal power levels. Both sides grew up on different planets. Superman's abilities come from the difference his genetics had altered to support life on his planet, and then him being on earth with a completely different physical atmosphere and planet subtype. The Saiyans in general had the abilities we have seen in Goku, trumping those by Superman easily. FUCK, KRILLEN COULD KICK SUPERMAN'S ASS.

Superman is a brawler and his opponents are always weak, half the time he has trouble with them too. SS2+ Goku just outright wins against superman.


Goku's first major opponent(Frieza) could destroy an entire world on a whim. Even nappa could destroy entire cities.

There have been 3-4 different enemies with laser vision in DBZ, frost breath wouldn't even do jack shit, and goku is just a billion times faster than superman.

Well thats the thing Super man isn't a regular alien either he is a immortal being, the only thing that can weaken him is kryptonite or blowing up the sun and some magical attacks. Lets just face it Goku isn't that smart enough to know that, unlike Super man who has more brains as well.
Goku would have to figure out super man's weakness and the only way he will probably know that would be if Super man told him his self.
