Hotswap Modding

Hotswap modding is practically what the name suggests, it swaps the legit disc for a modded one. Hotswaps are most common on Grand Theft Auto 4, Call of Duty World @ War, and Red Dead Redemption... I haven't tried hotswapping methods on any other game as of feburary 2013 (as to trying not to get banned anymore). I'm actually surprised nobody talked about it here (as I seen). It requires you to have the original unmodded game disk from the store, which sucks but isn't all that bad.

Anyway, Hotswapping is one of the Cheapest methods of hacking a xbox game, all you need is a CD-RW+DL (Dual Layer CDs) which are 20 bucks at wallmart and a disk drive capable of burning them (Also cheap, prices do vary on this one though).

When you go to open the xbox, you will be met with different bits, so you should buy a security bit set.. amazon sells them for 4 dollars here. You should also have a screw driver with a removable bit tip that is magnetized so you can lift them without loosing them, and the screw driver should feel comfortable and easy for you to use.

Burn the DVD (Which I might cover later or you can use google) and set it aside, as for now we gotta open a xbox.

STOP AFTER 6:50. We only want the Disc Drive to be exposed.

When you see your disk drive, you will see a sticker on the top of a circle, carefully remove it. After wards, you'll see a metal circle that can be moved, just dont mess with it yet, as that is the disk magnet that keeps the disks in place when it is being read.

Next video is opening the Disc Drive

STOP AFTER 0:50, as all we need is the top off.

After wards, take the top of the drive, and try to take the magnet off.. The best way to do this is to twist one side one way, and the other side the other way.

After you got the magnet off, make sure there is a small metal circle on the metal part, and if there is, keep it there. Put the magnet back together, but without the top of the disc tray.

The way the magnet works on the drive is, the plastic part is the bottom and the metal is the top.

Afterwards, you're ready to hotswap.

Note: The absolute best way to do it without risking burned disk is to put a usb in and when you go to install the game, the menu will pop up asking where you want to save it. This will make sure it doesnt get risked. When you see it, you're gonna need to be quick as it'll take 5-7 seconds before an error will come up saying the disc cant be read or the installation of the game will stop working.

After the installation of the game on the modde disk, you no longer need to put it in, just put in the official disc and it'll load the game that is installed to your xbox 360 hard drive.

You need some skill to flash an xbox, and having someone do it for you can cost a bit. This is just as affective it just needs to be hotswapped.

Not really.
Jungle flasher, and you can make your own make shift probe for Liteon.
I fried my first dvd drive which was liteon, but lucky I could still get the key. I switched it with my BenQ and I flashed it with the Liteon key and the new firmware.

it still costs allot of cash for a simple task

You need to buy something i cant remember what that you put on the hard drive mobo and it flashes it, not the best with explaining but i think you get the gist of what im saying i hope.

No you don't.
What you are thinking about is probably the probe and the switch, but that is only for liteon drives.
Jungler Flasher is the program that flashes the drive.

Liteon drives are very common.

I know that. They are still easy to flash tho, I could flash one in about less then 1 hour.
The funny thing is I don't need no pro stuff I can use every day house items.

They still need specific items to do it. Not everyone can 'do it without pro stuff and use every day house items'. This is so you dont get caught as easily as flashing drives can be more risky than hotswapping.

I have been using my flashed drive for over 3 months now and I am still not banned.
Getting the key from the dvd drive is easy as hell, if anyone can't do it then they shouldn't even be trying to hotswap.

With a stealth patched disk it brings the risk of banning down by enough but you still have a greater chance of being banned because new dashboard updates. I know people who got banned because of their flashed drive.

And not anyone can a key from the dvd drive, sure flashing doesnt require you opening it up again and hotswapping disks, but its still risky to do if you have no idea what you're doing.

Thats what the probe is used for, you probe for the key once you get the key then the easy part is up.
Probing is the only hard problem and its also the easy problem. You can't really compare since you haven't even done it.

You never told me you fried your liteon drive, the point is hotswapping is a good alternative with the same rewards.
