For how long do you have your PC?
Also if you have it for a long time you need to vaccum it from dust. The dust is stuck in the fan keeps the video card cool and safe from over-heating.
Download the latest drivers for your video card from the nvidia site,run an anti-virus full scan,download CCleaner and clean your internet cookies,history etc...download Defragler and defrag your hard drives.
