windows 8.1 problems
My very first encountered problem.. i don't know whats going on, but like every 30 minutes my internet stop responding and get a weird yellow triangle thing next to my wifi connection..

never did this before.. and its starting to get annoying
Re-install drivers.
If you are coming from win7 or 8 that might be why.
Never upgrade to the newest version of windows before most of the bugs are fixed.
Never had this, check online or as newphag said, drivers
I'm considering upgrading from 7 to 8.1, idol if I should..
Eh, why would someone upgrade to Win 8.1? It's not even completely bug/glitch free. I will stick with Win 7 till it's completely useless.
Updating from 7 to 8.1 causes this. I just updated from 8 on my other computer and that didnt happen.
To prevent the issues like these, download drivers what you need, back them up to another outside local disk, do a complete format (no windows, nothing), and then install Win 8 = no issues :3
Just....
Upgrade from 7 to 8, then upgrade to 8.1 using the store. That's what I did basically, because it keeps all of the file, application and setting...
And this kids, is why you never upgrade from Windows 7 to 8.1

And this is why you want to give money to Microsoft because of their stupid upgrade system
This isn't a "Windows 8.1 Problem", this is a problem with your hardware. Either your network adapter, or your router, or your modem. Could also be external interference, microwaves for example can interrupt a wireless connection. This used to happen to my mom all the time on Windows 7, when she got a new laptop it stopped.

Don't blame everything on the OS.

You should also NEVER be using the upgrade feature to begin with, back your files up and ALWAYS perform a clean install. When you're partitioning, delete both your C: drive and the "System Reserved" drive, then create a "New" drive out of the unallocated space and format the new C: drive.
I upgraded from 8 to 8.1, and there were a lot of issues. But I fixed 'em all, so I love it now.
I'd say wait until it's bug-free.
Yea i had this too, it's easy to fix.
Just go into your adapter properties -> Power thingy
Then unclick the, let windows turn off this device.....
Then open CMD as an admin.
ipconfig
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
If you get any errors in the CMD part, that's okay.
I hope i helped
Problems? With Windows 8? Are you sure?
I've never heard anyone have any problems with it.

Just like Vista, it was flawless.
